Preventative Care Keeps Kittens and Puppies Healthy

Preventative care is key to helping your kitten or puppy avoid illnesses. Below are some of the preventative services that Dessau Vet Clinic offers to its patients:

  • Wellness exams. Wellness exams help us identify medical conditions and illnesses in their early stages. During your pet's wellness exam, we'll check his or her eyes, ears, mouth, skin, coat, breathing and heart rate. We'll also test your pet's blood and feces. We recommend that your pet come in for a wellness exam at least once annually.
  • Dental exams. We'll check your pet's teeth for signs of plaque buildup, and if we think its necessary, we'll recommend a cleaning.
  • Vaccinations. We offer core and non-core vaccinations to pets. It can be tough remembering the vaccination schedule for a new pet, so we'll help by tracking your pet's vaccination and booster shots for you.

Emergency Care

New puppies and kittens have a way of getting into trouble. From ingestion of a foreign object to injuries and more, your puppy or kitten may someday require emergency care. At Dessau Vet Clinic, we offer a range of emergency services for puppies and kittens.
